About Katherine

My name is Katie! I will be starting graduate school for Marriage and Family Therapy in the fall at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I have nannied for many years now. One of the aspects I love about nannying is planning activities, especially outdoors. I'm also a big fan of card and board games, and have enjoyed teaching kids my favorite game, Catan. I love learning new games that the kids' love as well. Cooking is another passion I bring to my role as a nanny, whether it's preparing breakfast or lunch for the kids or getting them involved in the kitchen. I have spent the last few years preparing to become a therapist, and in the process have become passionate about mindful communication, conflict resolution, patience, and empathy. I emulate these qualities in my childcare approach. I am also neurodivergent, and work well with neurodivergent kids:) I look forward to speaking with you and potentially working with your family!
