About Katherine

I'd describe my personality as fun, loving, and direct. I like working with kids because every child deserves a quality individual to look after them as their own parents would. I'm looking for a job that is relatively flexible, consistent, and engaging for everyone. I started working with kids when I was 13, babysitting the next-door neighbor's toddlers for the occasional night out. I've taught various craft classes and pottery to kids of all ages. In my spare time, I like to make things with my hands, like needlepoint or candles, cooking, mending, etc. I'm creative and resourceful and I love to upcycle old things into new treasures. One thing you should know about me is I am a parent to a 14-year-old boy and I also work a full time job, in a hybrid capacity. I have 2 dogs and a cat, and experience with other types of pets. My skills include consistent mentoring, firm but fair expectations, and encouraging meaningful communication.
