About Katherine

*Not accepting new families* Hello there! My name is Katie. I love to garden, hike, read, and learn! I have been working with neurodivergent children for the last three years while earning my degree. I currently hold an Associate's degree in Human Development with a concentration in child development and special education. Currently, I am working towards becoming a Speech Language Pathologist for children who are neurodivergent. My work has allowed me to interact closely with IEPs, medical needs, behavioral and developmental needs, and accommodating diverse arrays of ability. I am CPR certified and trained in administering first aid. My family is primarily Deaf and American Sign Language is my first language, which has enriched my work greatly! I truly have a passion for working with children and understanding how best to nurture their growing minds and hearts. I aim to learn and improve in my work with children everyday.
