About Katherine

I grew up in Ripon, received my BA in English from CAL, have taught 4th grade for 5 years, and have my masters degree in Education from University of the Pacific. I love helping kids grow in knowledge and confidence while having fun! I'd describe my personality as kind, adventurous, and contemplative. I like tutoring because I believe every child can reach their full potential with a little guidance. I'm looking for a job that is part time and flexible. I still teach full time during the school year, but have more time in the summer. I started tutoring in college. I worked in afterschool programs, tutored reading, and taught class at my church. I like to travel, watch the Giants, draw, read, and play with my dog. I love getting to know each child's unique personality and customizing their learning. I am also currently in a program to become a math specialist and have been getting some great ideas for math instruction. My skills include math, writing, and vocabulary.
