About Katherine

I currently work in elementary education, supporting students with special needs - mainly those with behavioral challenges. I love working with children and it gives me so much fulfillment to know that I can be a support to them and their families, and make a difference in their lives. I have a college degree and hold current Safety Care and CPR certifications. I am also a mother to a 5-year-old, so am very familiar with all that childcare of young children entails! I love getting outdoors and exploring, doing crafts, baking, and reading. I think children benefit when given the opportunity to engage with their caregivers, and are able to explore and interact with the world around them. I am looking to find some supplemental part-time work for during the summer, and will have my 6-year-old daughter with me. She loves other kids and gets along well with everyone. I'm happy to arrange a play date ahead of time to ensure everyone's comfort with each other.
