My name is Katherine , I have just completed my 10th year as a high school math teacher. I work for MNPS and am looking to make some extra money in the summer babysitting. During Covid I worked mainly from home, but before that I would babysit almost every summer to help make extra money. The most recently family I babysat for have a 5- and 8-year-old. I was with them for just over a year. I would pick them up from school, hang out at their house, and even went on several excursions around town. I am COVID vaccinated and CPR certified. Katherine cared for our two elementary school age children several summers and intermittently after school starting summer 2018. She was always reliable and had good communication with parents. She is one of two babysitters my anxious children trusted to drive them home from school or summer camp, they felt safe with her. Returning to work as a nurse after years of being a stay at home parent Katherine was flexible with her schedule and reassuring in texting or meeting with me outside of babysitting hours to review schedule and expectations. She was also good at knowing her availability and how much work she could handle each week in addition to her full time teaching job. I appreciate someone who has clear boundaries and knows her limits, so she can be fully present and fun when she is with my children. I highly recommend Katherine as an after school or summer nanny with no reservations.
