About Katherine

Hi, there! For the past two years I was an assistant teacher at Whidbey Island Waldorf School. I worked with children ages 1 - 6 in toddler, preschool, and kindergarten classrooms. I also led summer camp for ages 6 - 10. I have also provided private childcare for many years. I am a safe driver and can pick children up from school, drive them to activities, or whatever is needed. I love being outdoors, going for nature walks, visiting the library, doing craft projects, reading, and learning about a child's interests. I believe every child is deserving of the utmost respect and attention. My approach is patient, calm, creative, and warm. All children are good inside, and there is no such thing as "bad" behavior. I am only comfortable working with families who also believe in gentle parenting. My schedule is flexible. I am located in Clinton, and travel distance is dependent on the circumstance.
