About Katherine

Hello! My name is Katherine , I use he and/or they pronouns. I'd describe my personality as intentional, friendly, and open. I started working with kids when I was 14 babysitting my neighbors' children. I then worked with kids volunteering at a daycare near my high school, and spending time at TotSpot, the on-campus daycare as a part of my early childhood class in high school. In college I took an early childhood education class and worked at an afterschool program with kindergarten - third graders. During my time in college I also was a nanny for a summer and regularly babysat for my burlington neighbors. I now have a degree in Sociology with a minor in Art. I'm at an intermediate level of American Sign Language (having completed ASL 4) and working towards having a minor in ASL. I prioritize practicing patience, encouraging play and creative exploration, spending time outside and understanding children and families all have unique needs.
