About Katherine

Katherine watched my 87 year old mother after my father passed away for about one year. My mother was living alone and my brother and I were living far away. And my mother was in the early stages of dementia. Katherine was an absolute saint with my mother, even when my mother’s dementia started changing her personality. Katherine was so gentle, warm and caring. My mother adored her! She was a companion for my mother, but also coordinated all aspects of my mom’s affairs including scheduling medical appts, cooking meals, cleaning the house, looking after her safety (my mother was starting to be a fall risk at that time), etc. Katherine and I spoke regularly about my mother’s care and she was always keeping me abreast of things. She was a pleasure to work with. She even included my mother in a few holiday celebrations when my mother would have otherwise been alone. I honestly can’t say enough positive things about Katherine. She is a really good and honest person, and a cut above other carers. When my mother eventually moved into memory care, we all really missed Katherine. She became like family to us.
