About Katherine

Hello! My name is Katherine and I have recently moved to Pennsylvania from New York. I have 17 years of childcare experience, eight years of them spent in early childhood, daycare and most recently Special Education worlds. I have a Masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education and currently work in a Preschool program while also attending school in order to become certified to teach here in Pennsylvania. In the past, I lead the Infant & Toddler classrooms, ages 6 weeks- 24 months. I love arts and crafts, singing and dancing and teaching colors, shapes, ABC's and 123's and sign language. My weekends were spent babysitting for all age groups and summers I worked as a counselor at a Performing Arts camp. Beyond my love of teaching I have a music and fine arts background that I believe allows me to communicate with children of all ages... who doesn't love dancing and singing to the "Hotdog" song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse?
