About Katherine

Katherine has cared for all four of my children, ages 2–16 (including one with special needs), both together and individually, over the past two-plus years. We look forward to her visits anytime she is home from college! She is not only a fantastic human being, but also a wonderful caregiver and friend to each of my kids. Katherine notices needs and meets them without being asked—she’ll clean up a mess, comfort a sad child, or jump in to help with whatever’s needed. She connects with my children, supports them, teaches them, and makes them feel valued. They all love spending time with her. Katherine has taken the time to truly get to know each child, learning their interests and encouraging them in meaningful ways. She instills kindness and good values, and she manages them beautifully in both home and community settings—even on challenging days. My daughter eats more willingly for Katherine than she does for me, and Katherine has even helped her discover vegetables she now loves. She plays imaginative games, makes everyday activities fun, and leaves a positive impact every time she’s here. I wish she still lived nearby—I’m genuinely jealous of anyone who gets to have her time and care!
