I have an educational background in social work and human services and have been working as a toddler/twos/preschool teacher for 8 years, with 4 years teaching in a five star school and privately teaching and nannying since the pandemic. I have experience working with all ages but prefer 12 months to 4 years old. I am a believer in teaching compassion and love by focusing on social and emotional skills and development. I focus mainly on physical activity, dramatic play/art, STEM activities and life skills. Working outside of a center environment allows me more individualized attention to my students and their families needs.

Miss Kathy was my daughter's daycare teacher for a year and then babysat for us until the pandemic started. SHE IS A DREAM! Here's what you need to know: - Your child will adore her. Because of COVID, my kiddo hasn't seen Kathy in 6+ months. Doesn't matter - the love is still there! She asks about Kathy often and likes making videos for her so they "stay friends" (awww), and Kathy even left a present for Little Bit in our mailbox one day. - Kathy is so, so smart about child development. She absolutely knows the theory and can apply different techniques based on what will help unique kids the most. She has taught me a ton about how to support my daughter through different stages (without ever making me feel like a clueless mom). It's a joy to watch her balance structure and play so kids can, in her words, "learn how the world works but never have their beautiful spirit crushed." - Kathy is responsible, punctual, and always goes above and beyond. I'd say more, but I'm out of space! :)
