Hi there! My name is Kate and my experience includes 5 years as a Direct Support Professional and various Special Education Courses. I am CPR and First Aid Certified and have worked with a VARIETY of special needs children and adults alike. My passion for working with children began as a camp counselor when I was paired with an adorable 6 yo diagnosed with Fragile X syndrome. He became my source of inspiration as I found that my patience and creativity were the perfect match for children with special needs. Over the years, I have worked with many different people with many different needs, but the thing I love most is the attitude toward life they all share. The joy of finding a special way to teach or help kids be a part of the community is a HUGE part of why I love this.
