About Katherine

I have always been comfortable around children, and continue to enjoy their carefree, and funny nature. I grew up with four siblings, and babysat for several families growing up. I have had a variety of jobs throughout college, that have given me experience in many different areas. I was a behavioral therapist for two years, working with children who have autism. I was also an at home caregiver for 6 months for a 28-year-old who has low functioning autism. I was a second grade teacher for two years, and was a long term substitute in several different grade levels, including a special education k-5 classroom. I am looking to transition out of teaching, and excited to explore other avenues that still allow me to work with kids. I am also comfortable with pets and other household chores if needed.
