About Katherine

I believe reading and writing are skills that will carry us through life. I am a certified secondary English/Language Arts teacher with prior experience with special needs children. I can tailor lessons to a student's needs and can work with learning differences/disabilities. I'd describe my personality as dedicated, passionate, and prepared. I like tutoring because it gives a student a chance to achieve their dreams and reach their full potential in an environment that fits them. I'm looking for a job that allows me to work with a student who needs an extra push to succeed. This will be my first official tutoring job. I have four years of experience as an English teacher. In my spare time, I like to read, listen to music, spend time outside and write. One thing you should know about me is I have taken official Red Cross first-aid training. My skills include working with learning differences/disabilities, building a rapport with students and tailoring lessons to fit needs.
