About Katharine

I love children! I have two of my own, ages 15 & 19. I have always cared for children in some capacity since I was 11 years old -- whether neighbors children, my own nieces and nephews (and now, their kids!)and of course my own children as a stay at home mom for 9 years. I also worked with Special Ed students as an Educational Aide in a local school district . I tutored K-6 graders for 11 yrs. I was a substitute teacher for grades 1-8. I am friendly, out going, and a people person. I am patient and caring. I'm creative, enjoy crafts, reading, playing games, and most importantly, having fun while providing a safe and nurturing environment! I'm that person who is on the floor playing with the kids, fostering their imagination, while teaching through play. I'm reliable, trustworthy, and have common sense. I'm looking for a steady position with the right family, and also as needed for date night. Thank you for your consideration.
