About Kate

I have 4+ years of experience in childcare, ranging from 0-13 years old. I started working with kids in 2013. With Reclaimed Hope Initiative, I take care of kids with disabilities, kids with trauma, and foster kids. I've developed childcare techniques where I exhibit a balance of structure and nurture. I like working with kids because they're so joyful and creative. I'd describe my personality as outgoing, kind, and responsible. In my spare time, I like to paint and sketch. My skills include coming up with fun activities, reinforcing rules, and making sure everyone is safe. I'm very self-driven and proactive when it comes to cleaning, helping out with household chores, keeping track of schedules, etc. I've worked as a house and dog sitter for 2 years. I have skills in taking care of any number of plants, dogs, and cats.
