About Kate

Hello! I'm Kate, a recent Cherokee Trail High School graduate and incoming student at the University of Virginia. While I don't have formal babysitting experience, I've always enjoyed spending time with kids and helping them learn and have fun. Education is something I'm passionate about. Growing up, I had role models who encouraged me to read, stay curious, and chase my ideas, and I'd love to provide that same positive influence for the children I work with. I have tutoring experience and am a strong teacher and collaborator. Whether it's helping with homework, reading together, playing board games, or coming up with creative activities, I aim to make every experience engaging and enjoyable. I'm patient, responsible, and comfortable taking charge when needed. I believe in balancing fun with structure, communicating clearly with parents, and creating a safe, positive environment where kids feel supported.
