About Kateri

Hello, you can call me Kat! I'm a passionate tutor for language arts, art theory, and basic music theory. My main focus is helping kids learn to read or strengthen their reading skills. I also practice art (traditional painting) and play the trumpet for artistic kids. I use a hands on approach, by learning what the kids excel at and need some help him. Then I develop a curriculum from there. I'm also attentive to whatever the kids are learning in school to help with homework and incorporate exercises that go along with their learning. I have experience working as a nanny for two years and focusing as a tutor for one year with kids ages kindergarten-fifth grade. But many kids today in every grade need help with reading, so I'm here to help.
