About Kate

I am a masters level special education teacher with over 20 years experience specializing in ADHD and executive functioning needs, as well as twice exceptional students. I have been trained in Wilson and Orton-Gillingham and make phonics instruction fun and efficient. I have taught hundreds of children - and coached their parents - from Kindergarten through college how to harness their strengths to support their organizational challenges. I tutor, coach, and consult from a place of radical acceptance: there is nothing wrong with you or how your brain works. We will leverage your own strengths creativity to solve academic and everyday challenges. In tutoring, I focus on FUN, fast pacing, deep learning, confidence building, and eventual independence.
