About Kate

I'd describe my personality as easy going, compassionate, fun, upbeat and outgoing I like caring for seniors because it brings joy to my heart, I love the conversations, wisdom they have and I love making a difference in someone's life. I'm looking for a job that is flexible with my schedule and part time. I started caring for seniors when my grandparents went into a memory care facility 8 years ago I realized this was something I loved by being there and spending time with them and the other residents. I then switched careers from a preschool teacher of 20 years, to working with seniors at an assisted living for almost 5 years. I now work private/ companion care. I absolutely love what I do. In my spare time, I like to garden and hike nature trails My skills include kindness, compassion, respect and a good understanding of how to relate to those with dementia.
