I'd describe my personality as easy going, compassionate, fun, upbeat and outgoing I like caring for seniors because it brings joy to my heart, I love the conversations, wisdom they have and I love making a difference in someone's life I'm looking for a job that is flexible with my schedule and part time I started caring for seniors when my grandparents went into a memory care facility 6 or 7 years ago I realized this was something I loved by being there and spending time with them and the other residents. I then switched careers from a preschool teacher to working with seniors at an assisted living for almost 5 years. I now work private/ companion care. I absolutely love what I do. In my spare time, I like to garden and hike nature trails My skills include kindness, compassion, respect and a good understanding of how to relate to those with dementia

Kate has been looking after my elderly mom for the past couple of months. She is everything you want in a caregiver: compassionate, patient, responsible, thoughtful, punctual... she even has a good sense of humor. She makes delicious meals and takes my mom on errands and outings, and as my mom says, "They have become friends." Can't ask for more.
