Hi, I'm Kate! I'm currently a Master's student in Houston, but I'm back in my hometown of Greensboro for the summer. My childcare experience includes summers as an elementary/preschool counselor and afterschool provider at New Garden Friends School, a semester nannying for an infant, and many evenings of babysitting! As a caregiver, I am patient, calm and always interested in what a child has to say. I believe in creating a safe environment for children to develop independence, creativity and capability. **I am only accepting one-time jobs, as I already have a part-time position.

Kate has been taking care of our 7 yo and 2 yo on Saturday afternoons and evenings for 5 months as of writing this review. Kate is awesome - our 7 yo loves spending time with her and Kate knows how to speak and interact with children. She gives them her full attention and has energy to keep up! While Kate is fun and energetic, she has a calming presence which works very well with our 2 yo (she won his trust even though he is selective…). Kate is also very punctual, responsible, kind, and communicates well. No issues or emergencies have arisen but we have full confidence that she has the good judgement and capability to handle it. Lastly, on a more personal level, my wife and I have enjoyed Kate’s company around the house. She is a sweet, joyful, and interesting person. Highly recommend!
