About Katelyn

I'd describe my personality as engaging, energetic, intellectually curious. I like tutoring because it is meaningful work that allows comprehension to build in a space of safety and connection, which is often the most facilitating environment for learning. All learners need different things, but no learning is ever diminished with thoughtful 1:1 support. I'm looking for a job that is consistent, challenging, and rewarding! I started tutoring when I was in college, and became a homeschool assistant for a working family. In my spare time, I like to read, hike, cook, make art, and play with my dog ! One thing you should know about me is that I really value good communication and clear expectations. My skills include: 1. The ability to take complex topics and make them palatable for different levels of learning. 2. Patience and Persistence 3. Teaching strategies for organization and study skills for ongoing empowerment/support of academic goals.
