About Katelyn

I am the second oldest of five children and have cared for my three younger siblings all my life. I have played with them, assisted them with their school work, and helped prepare meals when needed. I also have babysat for five years, including caring for a child with special needs. I take a childcare class at my school where we interact with children in a preschool classroom for half of the week and the other half we are in a high school classroom learning about child development. In the class we help the children develop necessary skills while having fun doing it. I plan to study early childhood education in college. I have taken a first aid class and am CPR certified. I have participated in softball and volleyball camps with children and teenagers helping them find a love for the sport and practicing the fundamentals of it. I help with a theater company, there I work with children of all different ages and personalities to put on a great show.
