Caring for kids fills my soul. I love getting to know each individual child, and personalizing my care to them. I have years of experience in care work (1), cooking (4), housekeeping (2), and pet care (1). As a creative who loves the outdoors, I excel at finding free or low cost activities that facilitate movement, imagination, and problem solving. I encourage continuous learning and self reliance by guiding children through essential tasks, such as cooking, grocery shopping, budgeting, cleaning, communication, and conflict resolution. My care style is centered on 3 principles: kindness, mutual respect, and structure. I am compassionate and firm on rules. My approach when a child is struggling to listen and follow instructions is to communicate with them. I prioritize informing children of the "why" behind rules. Likewise, I am curious about the "why" behind a behavior. I am dedicated to discovering the root causes for issues, addressing the root cause, and informing the parent.
