About Katelyn

As the youngest sibling in my family, I was very fortunate to become an aunt at 9 years old. At 15, I became the primary sitter for my nieces & nephews, which introduced me to the joy of caring for children. For my high school internship, I developed a "transitions" course, assisting children with the changes of K- to-1st grade & 5th-to-6th grade. For 5 years, I was a lifeguard/swim instructor , and an activity leader for an aftercare program. I was employed at Disney World for 3 yrs, where creating "magical moments" for children was my daily joy. I graduated from UCF with a B. S. in Event Management. I have worked as a full-time professional nanny for the past 4 years, and am in the process of becoming Montessori certified. I hope to have children of my own in the next few years. I believe it is a beautiful honor to be an integral part of a child's development; a responsibility I approach with patience, empathy, creativity, & communication. Thank you for your consideration!
