About Katelin

Hello! My name is Kate and I've always been an artist and caretaker. I find that working with children has been the most life-affirming way to remain the empath I am, and allow my intuition and listening skills to grow. I am not someone that imposes my opinion on a child, or comments unnecessarily on who they are. I see my role as the person who provides safety, engaging play, and enough space for kids to build trust in themselves. As for my work history, that goes back to being the oldest in a large family, and watching neighborhood kids since age 12. I have lifeguarding experience and was re-certified for CPR end of 11. 19. While living in Chicago for 10 years, I worked at a daycare ages 1-4, as an After Care tutor ages 5-13, as a home nanny ages 7 mo.-20 mo. for several families, and most recently as an Assistant Teacher for a classroom of 12 to 16 2-year-olds.
