About Kate

Hello! I'm Kate. Ive been a babysitter and nanny for 10 years and love working with kids! I've babysat for children from 2 months to 13 years. I have lots of experience tutoring (and playing of course!). I babysat throughout college and graduate school at UNC Chapel Hill, where I studied human development and psychology, and then in graduate school, for my MSW. I worked as a child play and talk therapist for three years and I spent a year doing research on infant-caregiver attachment at the University of Delaware. I am proud of my child-led interaction style, and hope that it makes all children feel supported and loved while fostering their independence and sense of self-efficacy! I also have completed courses in Positive Parenting, and implement values of responsive, positive, and sensitive parenting into my work with kids. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
