About Kate

As one of 7 children and 60 first cousins, I have an innate passion for nurturing young minds. While I do not have professional experience, I bring 10 years of hands-on childcare experience within my family, working with children from infancy to their teens. Raised in a screen-free home, I prioritize hands-on play and developmental enrichment, including outdoor play, literacy-focused learning, and crafts. Early literacy is particularly important to me, as I taught my youngest sister how to read. I value open communication with parents through their preferred method and frequency. Consistent enforcement of household rules is essential to me to strengthen parent-child relationships. I am comfortable caring for up to three children of any age, as well as those with physical and mental health conditions or special needs. I hold CPR and First Aid certification. As fostering a safe, nurturing environment is my priority, I am happy to assist with cooking, light housekeeping, and crafts.
