About Kate

Hi! I am Kate, a sophomore at Muhleberg College. I am studying education while playing field hockey as well. I hope to one day become a Special Education teacher! I come from a family of teachers and coaches, so it runs in the family! I myself have been working with kids and special ed kids since I was one! Starting in the fifth grade, I volunteered at the MVCA, which is the aftercare program at Old Farmers Road School. That was a catalyst for my continuous engagement up until now! I am a peer minister at my church where we run many fundraisers and volunteer to help our youth. I also was a girl scout and made my Gold Award by running my own sports camp for Special Ed kids. I have lots of experience with helping children with school and sports. I have shadowed and volunteered at Northern Hills Academy, an all special needs school, where my sister previously worked. I have also always been involved in just about anything Long Valley has to offer!
