About Kate

Hi! My name is Kate and I am currently a graduate student and English teacher at UofL looking for part-time work over the summer, and potentially during the school year as well. I have been working privately for families since 2019. I like working with kids because they inspire me and are a joy to be around. As an aspiring children's book author, the more I can learn from being around them, the more I feel able to write stories that inspire them in return! I'm looking for a job that is consistent and enables me to have a beneficial work-life balance for both me and my employer. I started working with kids when I was in High School and my first job was working as an Early Childhood Educator. I received proper training through working at the childcare center that gave me the confidence and abilities to work with children from the ages of two months to 5 years old. In my spare time, you can find me writing poetry and stories, playing guitar, practicing my sewing, or reading.
