About Kate

Hi there, my name is Kate and I am a third year, pre-nursing student at UCSB. I have a strong background in healthcare as I have worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant caring for elderly patients. I have worked in two skilled nursing facilities including Tiburon Hills Care Center where I provided direct care for 9-12 patients independently during shifts, ensuring timely assistance with activities of daily living(ADLs), including bathing, dressing, changing, and feeding. I monitored and documented vital signs, changes in patient conditions, and reported concerns to nursing staff. I demonstrate strong time management, communication, and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced skilled nursing setting. I have also worked at UCLA health as a pre-med internship working directly alongside the CNA's, answering call lights and aiding in patient care. I am an outgoing, driven, and compassionate student! I would be happy to care for seniors, prepare meals, and keep their space clean.
