I have been a full time nanny for a family with four children for the past 6 years. I have extensive experience caring for children from birth to early elementary age. Being part of children's development has been so rewarding. I believe it is such an important responsibility to positively impact children if we are blessed to have them in our lives. I enjoy making the most out of my time with children: days at the park, art projects, baking, taking walks/bicycle rides, library visits, school/homework help, etc. I am very patient and caring but I also understand the importance of discipline, structure, and routine. I am CPR/AED/First Aid Certified. I also have 6 Early Childhood Education credit hours. I can provide references upon request.

Kate tutored my 8 year old son in reading and math for 3 weeks while we were in the Hayesville area this summer. She did a wonderful job; my son enjoyed reading with her a lot and improved quite a bit over the 3 weeks. Kate was great in her approach to working with him; calm, encouraging, and creative in finding playful ways to keep him engaged and progressing. For example she prepared activities that would help to build his reading skills, like word Bingo using all the words he was having the most difficulty with. I couldn't have been happier with Kate. I only wish we could have had her working with us for longer, but unfortunately we were leaving the area at the end of summer. I hope Kate can work with us again when we're next in the area and I highly recommend her to any family!
