About Kate

Hi there! I'm Kate, and I'm a 19-year-old creative writing + journalism student at the University of Montana. I'm very outgoing and love working with kids; while I don't have any of my own, I have two wonderful nephews and three fantastic nieces, and have several years of past experience working as a caregiver at a church. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am switching my field of work from food service (I have worked as a shift leader at City Brew Coffee for nearly a year) toward nannying. I have significant experience babysitting: from age 11 to age 17, I would watch up to five children of varying ages for two hours every week. I led snack times, crafts, and helped guide them toward interacting with each other in a kind and healthy manner. My top priority while working is to maintain a highly empathetic position as a caretaker, providing kids with someone they know is always willing to listen, and helping guide them as they grow into healthy adolescents and adults!
