About Katalena

Hi! My name is Katalena, but most people call me Kat! I have 5+ years of experience working with children through babysitting, tutoring, teacher assistant roles, and most recently as an elementary school teacher. I also have a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. I genuinely love working with kids and getting to know their unique personalities and interests. Whether we're doing crafts, playing outside, helping with homework, or relaxing at home, my goal is to make sure your child feels safe, comfortable, and heard. My teaching background has also given me experience with a variety of ages, learning styles, and individual needs. I'm CPR and First Aid trained, have reliable transportation, and am comfortable with pets. I'm also happy to help with meals, light cleaning, errands, transportation, and homework. I'd love to get to know you and your kiddos!
