About Kassandra

I moved from New Hampshire to North Carolina about a month ago. I have spent over 12 years working with toddlers and preschoolers with some additional experience with children up to 13. Most recently, I have worked in a Nature-Based preschool where there was a big emphasis put on spending time outdoors and social/emotional growth. I am extremely knowledgeable about developmental milestones and have vast experience in planning appropriate and engaging activities. I enjoy exploring the outdoors with children, encouraging imagination and independence, and not afraid to get messy with them! My favorite part of childcare is seeing the wonder and excitement as they discover something new or master a skill they have been working towards. My teaching philosophy is a combination of many leading methods, pulling elements from Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, and Montessori to craft an approach that works for each individual child. I can also help with light house keeping tasks and pet care.
