About Karyn

I am a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University with a degree in Sociology and minor concentrations including Anthropology and Psychology. I have years of coursework designed to understand all aspect of society, as well as specific coursework with a clear focus on the geriatric population. I have a combined 6 years of experience in the healthcare field, 2 years in memory care with a focus on recreational therapy. I have experience in designing and implementing therapeutic activities for a range of memory care residents in assisted living facilities. I am able to perform personal care assistance when needed. I have an intense passion for the elderly population, specifically those who suffer from memory impairment. I have a personal connection to Alzheimer's and have been dedicating much of my time to researching, studying and most importantly caring for those who suffer from the disease. I am currently employed as a home care attendant and I am able and available to work either part time or full time performing a variety of services.
