My daughter was severe OCD/borderline spectrum, the nephew I helped raise was dyslexic and my other daughter was dealing with some serious trauma. On a personal level, I have lived with some different kinds of special needs. Professionally, I hold both a criminal justice degree and a teaching degree. Protecting and advocating for those who are not being treated as they should has always been part of my career choices. As a nanny I currently watch a little girl with multiple diagnosis about once a month to give her brother some respite. Here is what I know for certain after the time I have spent at Crossroads Behavioral Health School, you must celebrate the small victories because they carry you through the difficult times. I believe to the core of my being that we have a responsibility to help every child be the best they can be and we meet them at their level to accomplish that! I am very interested and hope we can meet soon!
