I'd describe my personality as relaxed, gentle and curious I like working with kids because they are extremely intelligent and creative. I strive to be that trusted adult who children can feel safe around. I'm looking for a job that is flexible with my time. I started working with kids when I was 6! During college, I worked at a pediatric clinic that specialized in the IDD population and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I also did some part-time babysitting and have some experience facilitating youth summer programs and teaching arts and crafts. In my spare time, I like to make art, read, and enjoy nature. One thing you should know about me is that I work well under pressure. I have certifications in Youth Mental Head First Aid as well as Crisis Preventions Intervention. I value communication and clear, fair consequences over punishment. And my priority will always be the child's safety. My skills include patience, creativity, and communication.
