About Karmen

I LOVE children and I have worked with an array of children throughout my life. My husband and I were foster parents for a few years before we adopted our special needs daughter. I worked at a daycare where we cared for several foster children who came with past traumas and special needs. I did the babysitting red cross certification course when I was 12 years old, and since my brother was 8 years younger than me, I got a lot of experience when I was younger babysitting his friends. I also worked doing respite on the weekends in our home working for a few children who had mental health, as well as behavioral issues. If I had had my way, I would have had a house full of children, however because our child was diagnosed with special needs after we adopted her, we decided to put all of our attention and care into giving her the best life we can provide for her. My husband and I have talked about fostering/adopting again in the future, now that our child is older.
