About Karly

I value integrity, compassion, growth, playfulness and curiosity. I am a social worker for DHS but will be leaving my role to finish nursing school. I was a nanny and babysitter for 15 years. The roles consisted of date day/night sitting, after-school sitting/transport, M-F full-time nanny, and live-in nanny. The live in position was for triplet infants until they were 4 years old. I would love to share more about the families I have worked with. I am CPR/First Aid certified. I have a strong understanding of child development and therapeutic interventions for behaviors. It is important to be aware of not just a child's physical safety, but emotional safety too. Learned behaviors, nutrition and sleep all play very important roles in a child's well being. I encourage play that is not centered around electronics. Help develop neuro pathways that build positive habits and behaviors, like empathy. Autonomy is valued at every age so collaboration, nurturing and empowerment are used.
