About Karl

Hi, I'm Karl! I am a tutor with a great passion for learning and helping students reach their potential. I believe in a growth mindset, where learning happens for its own sake, and student effort translates to academic success. I have taught ESL in Vietnam and Zambia, and am now getting my MA in Education. My personality is passionate, goofy, and analytical. I love asking questions, and like to make jokes while doing so. In my spare time, I like to read, write, and play drums with my band. Nothing is more fun than rocking out on stage! I expect my students to push themselves. If you're not willing to put in the work, then there is very little I can help you with. My skills include a student centered approach, creative lesson plans, and lots of patience.
