While I have no professional experience in this area, I do have quite a lot of personal experience. About 4 years ago my Mom had a stroke landing her in a coma for six weeks she spent some time in rehab but when she came home I spent a lot of time taking care of her. I learned how to transfer her, walk with a gait belt, use her feeding tube and administer her meds and catheterize her if need be. I learned the patients it takes to work with someone who is frustrated in not being able to do what they once did.
