About Karlene

I have been working as a nanny and caretaker for more than 20 years in the South Orange/Maplewood area. I am a careful but direct person with a strong sense of safety and cleanliness. I've helped care for boys and girls- from infants to teenagers. I am looking for full time work but am flexible enough for parents who need extra help for only a few hours in the day. I'd describe my personality as nurturing, friendly, and responsible. I like working with kids because they're a constant source of joy and wonder. I started working with kids when I had my own decades ago. Now that my own children are grown and have their own, I like to take the skills I've learned as a parent and share my experience and wisdom. In my spare time, I like to relax at home. I also am an active member of my church. One thing you should know about me is that although my job can be fun, I take it very seriously. My skills include feeding, changing, and taking children out to play.
