About Karlea

My name is Karlea, and I have 6+ years experience in skilled pet care! For the past 5 years, I have worked as an Emergency/Critical Care Veterinary Nurse in a top-tier Veterinary Specialty Hospital/ICU. Caring for lives, both of human and animal alike, has been a passion and skill of mine since a young age. I attended college and received my CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.) I worked in in-patient settings with adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities for about 2 years, before making a career change to Veterinary Medicine. Personalized, patient, empathetic care no matter what challenges my clients may face has always been of upmost priority for me. Forming meaningful connections with pets/people has always been second nature for me, and has given me a priceless set of skills in supportive care, and an endless desire to improve and educate myself!
