About Karla

At 43 years of age, I have many years of experience caring for people ranging in age from newborn to 99 years old. I have a passion for helping others and have cared for more people than I can count over the past 20 years. I am CPR and 1st aid certified. I have worked with the State for the past several years in helping care for persons with varying degrees of disabilities. Through my continuing education, I have learned the Positive Behavior Support method and maintain CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) training. I started doing child care at the age of 12. Most of my younger years were spent caring for family members including a set of infant twins. I am an educated, fun-loving, honest, and determined mother of 2. I have fostered in the past. Helping people is who I am. I am always eager for the next opportunity.

Karla took care of my infant son while I worked full time, until he was about 9 months old. She is professional and respectful, and I would hire her again in a heartbeat. She would get just as excited as me when my son would reach important milestones, like crawling! It's clearly her passion and skill to take care of people, and she is now a lifelong friend.
