About Karla

Karla helped care for my 84-year-old father transition back to his own home following an acute illness and stays in skilled nursing and assisted living. She was instrumental in making that transition go smoothly. Before even accepting the position, she made a point of visiting him at his assisted living facility so she could meet him and better understand his needs. That level of professionalism continued throughout the time she worked with our family. Karla was consistently reliable and communicative, which made scheduling remarkably easy. I never had to wonder whether she was going to show up for a shift. As the person coordinating my dad's care from another state, having someone I could depend on took a significant amount of stress off my shoulders. On the rare occasion that something unexpected prevented her from working, she communicated with me immediately and gave me as much notice as possible. She was also extremely flexible and worked additional hours several times when we needed help outside her regular evening schedule. On one occasion, she came in early in the morning to get my dad ready for a medical procedure, even though she normally worked for us in the evening. Karla was also very responsive with administrative requests. We had a substantial amount of long-term-care insurance paperwork to complete, and she returned everything promptly and thoroughly. She also responded quickly whenever I needed information from her about my dad or her shift. Karla was supremely professional, conscientious, dependable, and easy to work with. Having someone I knew I could rely on was incredibly valuable, and I would gladly recommend her to another family.
