About Karla

Hi there! My name is Karla. I was raised in Mexico, where Spanish is my first language. I later learned English as my second language and French as my third. I moved to New York in 2016 as an Au Pair and have worked with children in various capacities for the past nine years. As a full-time nanny for two years, I cared for children ages 3-6, supporting them in learning to read and write in both English and Spanish, helping with math homework, engaging in arts and crafts, swimming, and more. I later pursued a degree in Civil Engineering and worked as a college tutor for math and physics during that time. I'm passionate about science and languages, and I love working with kids-I have three toddler-aged nieces and nephews whom I absolutely adore and love watching grow and learn.
