I had about six months of experience working with a premature infant. Apart from that, as a babysitter/nanny, I've worked for numerous families of various backgrounds in the DC metropolitan area. Over the span of eight years, I developed my communication skills and cultivated my creative side to provide children with a safe and fun environment. I am also flexible and patient; skills that have served me well when working with children. While working with the premature baby, I fell I love with special need infants. I was able to work together with the family's therapist to get his motor and verbal skills back to where they needed to be as well as his self confidence.
