My name is Karla. I am originally from El Salvador and used to teach English back in 2014. I moved to the U. S. in 2015, and since then I lived in Chicago and Evanston, Illinois, and I have been working as a caregiver. I moved to Maryland last summer. A little about me, I am a mother of an 8-year-old boy, and I love being around kids. As a matter of fact I've been around kids for decades. In addition, I used to be part of children's ministry at church back in El Salvador, where we used to sing, read, and do crafts. Moreover, I am a kind, loyal, organized, energetic, friendly, responsible, warm person. Additionally, I love doing art crafts with the kids, taking them to educational place such as museum, zoo, library, parks, activities, music class, art, sports etc. I am fully COVID vaccinated, CPR certified, and I have a lot of experience working with kids all ages. I have references upon request.

Karla has cared for our two girls for almost three years, and I truly cannot recommend her highly enough. She started with our family when our youngest was just three weeks old and our oldest was only 19 months, and she has been such an incredible part of raising our children ever since. She has taught them Spanish, taught them how to swim, helped potty train them, encouraged healthy eating habits, and cared for them with so much consistency, thoughtfulness, and love. Beyond all of that, she is incredibly reliable, conscientious, calm, and kind. Our girls absolutely adore her, and we feel so grateful for the role she has played in our family over these years. We will be so sad to see her go, but we know whoever she works with next will be incredibly lucky to have her.
